How many of you spend your days listening to other people’s perceptions of you—friends, family, or colleagues who put effort into devaluing your talents and gifts?
Too often, people drown in this sea of negativity and then wonder why their lives feel mediocre or unfulfilling. But here’s the question: why? Is it because of their insecurities or your own?
Sometimes the reason people devalue you is because you’ve placed yourself on the clearance rack. You’ve marked down your own worth, and now you’re being treated like the bargain-bin special.
There comes a point when your self-worth can no longer be dictated by others. It must come from you.
Because if the value you place on yourself is small, don’t expect the world to raise your price.

“If you keep putting yourself on clearance, don’t be surprised when others treat you like a bargain.” – OE
-
“Stop living like you’re on clearance. Your value was never meant to be discounted.” – OE
-
“Are you on clearance? Or are you priceless? The answer lies in how you see yourself.” – OE
-
“The world won’t raise your price if you keep selling yourself at a discount.” – OE
-
“Clearance racks are for clothes, not for people who know their worth.” – OE

That is my question too. Why do my family members tend to devalue my talents?

Oftentimes it has to do with their own insecurities. Some people feel intimidated when others strive to live a better life or when they posses talents they don’t have. You can’t change how they feel. All you can change is how you react to them. Keep striving to live an amazing life! Orlando
