Choose to Be Good

Being a good person does not mean you have to be good to everyone. It means staying true to your values, treating people with dignity and continuing to do what is right regardless of how others choose to behave. Never allow the bitterness, negativity, or selfishness of others to convince you to abandon the kindness that makes you who you are.

At the same time, being a good person does not require unlimited access to your time, energy, or heart. Wisdom teaches us where to invest our compassion and who will genuinely appreciate the help we offer. Continue helping those who value your efforts, respect your boundaries, and are willing to grow. Do not stop being a good person simply because some people choose not to be. Your character should be defined by your principles, not by the actions of others. Being a good person is a choice. Being a wise person is knowing where to invest your goodness.
