We often enjoy the finished product without thinking about the people whose work made it possible.
The building someone constructed. The classroom someone prepared. The business someone opened. The meal someone served. The road someone repaired. The package someone delivered. The opportunity someone helped create.
Behind almost everything that makes our lives work is someone who showed up and did the work.
Labor Day is a reminder to recognize those people, not simply for the jobs they perform, but for the value they create and the difference their efforts make in our communities.
Today, appreciate the work. Respect the worker. And remember that meaningful work isn’t always the work that receives the most attention.
Sometimes it’s simply the work that needed to be done and someone cared enough to do it.
