The Value of Asking Again

Sometimes we hesitate to ask a question because someone has already explained the answer.

We nod, smile, and move along, even when we’re still confused.

But understanding something the first time isn’t always easy. Maybe the explanation was too complicated. Maybe we needed an example. Or perhaps we simply needed to hear it differently.

There’s nothing wrong with asking someone to explain it again.

The next time something doesn’t make sense, ask another question. You might discover that others were wondering the same thing.

The Simplifier’s Take: Asking again is better than pretending to understand.

Asking another question doesn’t mean you weren’t listening. It means understanding matters enough to ask again.
