Excuses Stunts Growth

Many people feel the need to create excuses when they fall short. But excuses can stunt your growth, weaken your credibility, and make people question your character. The more you explain why it didn’t happen, the less people believe it will happen next time.

Own the outcome. Learn the lesson. Fix what needs to be fixed. When you take responsibility, you protect your integrity and you build the kind of trust that opens doors. You don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to be accountable.

Do not make excuses. Make progress. Make adjustments. Make good on your promises. Excuses may protect your ego, but they destroy your results.
