I’ve learned not to assume I know how people will show up in my life.
Someone you care deeply about may not care in the same way.
Someone you never expected may be the person who helps you when you need it most.
Friends change. Relationships change. People disappoint us, forgive us, surprise us and sometimes teach us something about ourselves we weren’t ready to see.
And family isn’t defined only by a last name. Some people become family simply because they consistently choose to be there.
You won’t always receive what you give.
But that should never stop you from recognizing the people who genuinely show up. Pay attention to who shows up. Life has a way of revealing relationships more clearly than words ever will.
