Burn the Bridge

Sometimes the hardest part of moving forward isn’t choosing a new direction. It’s giving yourself permission to stop returning to the old one.

We keep backup plans for habits, situations, and versions of ourselves we already know aren’t working. The familiar feels safe, even when it keeps us stuck.

Commitment changes when you stop asking, “What if I need to go back?” and start asking, “What do I need to do to keep moving forward?”

You don’t have to destroy your past. You just have to stop treating it like your destination.

You don’t have to burn everything behind you to move forward. Sometimes you just have to stop leaving yourself a path back to what you already decided to leave.
