Trust the Detours

We like knowing where we’re going. We make plans, set timelines, and picture how things are supposed to unfold. Then life puts up a roadblock.

The opportunity disappears. The timing changes. Something we counted on doesn’t happen. And suddenly, we’re headed in a direction we never planned to take.

A detour doesn’t always mean you made a wrong turn. Sometimes it introduces you to an opportunity, a person, a lesson, or even a version of yourself you would have missed on the original route.

You may not understand the change while you’re in the middle of it. You may even wish you could get back to the road you planned. But keep moving. The unexpected route can still take you somewhere worthwhile.

A different road doesn’t mean the journey is over. It just means the route changed.

You can have the right destination and still need a different road to get there. Trust the detour. Keep moving.
