Make Your Own Decisions

There’s nothing wrong with asking for advice. Sometimes, another perspective is exactly what we need.

But there’s a difference between seeking guidance and depending on someone else to make every decision for you.

Good mentors don’t make you dependent on their answers. They help you develop the confidence to find your own.

Listen. Learn. Ask questions.

But don’t give away your ability to think for yourself.

The Simplifier’s Take

The best advice doesn’t tell you what to think. It helps you learn how to think.

Good advice should help you make better decisions, not make you dependent on someone else to make them.
