Choose the Mountaintop

Refuse to spend your life complaining about how others have treated you. You cannot control their actions, but you can control your response. Every time you choose bitterness, you remain stuck at the same level. Every time you choose growth, forgiveness and self-respect, you take another step toward higher ground.

The people who rise above adversity understand that their future is too valuable to be held hostage by someone else’s behavior. Keep climbing. Keep growing. The higher you go, the clearer your perspective becomes. From the mountaintop, you will discover that peace, freedom and purpose are worth far more than winning an argument or carrying a grudge. The higher ground is not where you escape your problems. It is where you gain the perspective to overcome them.
