Take the Next Hill

Big goals can become intimidating when we spend too much time staring at how far we still have to go.

Most meaningful accomplishments aren’t built through one enormous effort. They happen through smaller climbs—the phone call you make today, the task you finally finish, the conversation you stop avoiding, or the extra effort you make when it would be easier to quit.

You don’t have to climb the entire mountain today.

Focus on the hill in front of you. Get through this part. Then deal with the next one when you reach it.

Small progress may not feel impressive while you’re making it, but repeated long enough, those small climbs can take you somewhere you once thought was out of reach.

You don’t have to climb the whole mountain today. Just take the hill in front of you. Small climbs still move you higher.
